Shaffer Research and Statistical Consulting was founded by Dr. Catherine Shaffer, PhD, CFCP/FCCS, a scientist and researcher with a background in forensic psychology and public safety, and over 15 years of experience in data analysis, research design, and advanced statistical methods. Dr. Shaffer has authored (or co-authored) over 130 articles, book chapters, reports, assessment tools, and presentations related to violence and crime prevention.

Pricing
Consulting services are offered on both an hourly and project basis, depending on the scope, complexity, and timeline of the work. Hourly rates are typically $200 CAD/hour for standard consulting and $300 CAD/hour for more advanced or complex projects. Rates vary based on the level of analysis, sophistication, and required expertise.
A 60-minute consultation is available for $100 CAD. This session includes a review of your research or data needs, assessment of the project scope, and high-level guidance and recommended next steps.
Reduced rates are available for graduate students on a case-by-case basis.
Flat-rate pricing is available for clearly defined projects. Custom quotes are provided following an initial consultation.
